30 Oct A Moment with God
The power of a moment. One moment in the raw, real presence of God can shake a man and forever transform his eternal destiny. In fact, without that moment, all the counseling in the world is in vain. The efforts of flesh to cure a spiritual disease prove to be meaningless and fruitful.
Refuse to let people who have not had that one moment, who refuse to believe in moments like that, that you can stand in the presence of the living God tell you what to do with your one moment(s) when God touched you. Let the moment define you. Let His touch determine the course of your life rather than their opinions.
“You weren’t there the night He found me. You did not feel what I felt with His loving arms around me.” so goes a song. Whenever you’re tempted to let others, nay Sayers opinions keep you from a radical life, God’s calling and plans for you, just remember that those people weren’t there when Jesus found you. Anyone keeping you from the kingdom probably hasn’t felt His loving arms around them, heard His voice call their name.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jer 29:13,
God desires us to seek His face, His presence, to hear His voice and obey. Moses at the burning bush was not an exception, but the rule of every radical follower of God in scripture and history. Abraham, Noah, David, Daniel, and Paul to name a few.
You can let one moment shape your life if so chose to enter into that moment with God.
So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Exodus 33:11
