What Does It Mean to Be Missional?

Being missional is about seeing ourselves as missionaries who are sent into our culture, in our neighborhoods, our workplaces, our coffee shops, for the purpose of bringing the transforming power of the gospel into peoples’ lives.

Missions is not an activity of some select Christians, but should be the heart and life purpose of every follower of Jesus. Following Jesus and living missionally are synonymous, one cannot truly be a follower of Jesus and not be missional, on mission.

What more do we need to know other than our Lord said GO, that should be all we need to know, GO! Be missional, be on mission, live sent, however you want to say it, just as long as you are Going. Just Do It!

Jesus said GO and Do, what more is there to discuss.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.” Mat 28:19-20

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.“ Mark 16:15

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Act 1:8
