Adding to my goals for 2011, along with 365 Days of Love is “to do justice” that is “365 Days of Justice along with doing one act of love a day, I will be doing seeking to do at least one act of justice for someone. We read in Gen 6  “Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. ” That is to say Noah did acts of justice, Noah brought justice into the lives of others as a way of life. And so that is how I am choosing to live.

So by setting the goal to do acts of justice daily, to do at least one act of justice a day, I am choosing to live like Noah was know for. These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. Gen 6:9 When it says he was a just man, it means he brought justice to the lives of other. Made wrongs, right.

Today to many are defying the word justice with the wrong definition, (more…)

True Biblical entrepreneurship is about starting a business not for the sake of profit but rather for the sake of the gospel. About helping out the disenfranchised, the poor and the needy, building up the Kingdom of God and the lives of other, not your personal wealth.

I just saw a great example of this in action on a TV show on food. And even though it is not being done by a Christian but rather a non-Christian it is a prime example of how to do a marketplace ministry. It is not proclaiming the gospel, but it is for the good of others. Saving the poor and needy, giving to others instead of taking from them. (more…)

What is this saying about the future? For those who make it even. Every one of these facts can be changed, must be changed.

orphan-poster In response to the new movie coming out Orphans, A coalition of more than 50 orphan advocate and adoption organizations have launched a grassroots campaign to educate, dispel adoption myths and prompt response to the needs of orphans. And allows individuals to sign a letter to Warner Bros urging that a portion of the profit from the movie be used to help orphans.

“The movie ‘Orphan’ does no favors for the boys and girls who share its name,” said Jedd Medefind, president of the Christian Alliance for Orphans

Warner Bros.’s “Orphan” revolves around a couple who adopts a nine-year-old girl after the tragic loss of their unborn child. Strange and horrifying events begin to occur after the couple adopts Esther, who on the outside seems like an angelic little girl. The mother Kate tries to warn her husband John about Esther, but he does not believe her until it’s possibly too late.

Movie reviews have describe “Orphan” as the “anti-adoption horror film of the year” that will be sure to “scare prospective parents from ever adopting.”

“Defend the cause of the fatherless,” urges the prophet Isaiah, one of the greatest needs today is the rescue of orphans.  The U.N. estimate of the number of orphans in the world today is 145 million,  and this movie will fan the fears and concerns many parents have regarding the long-term impact of adoption. Could turn a lot of potential parents away from adoption.
