Adding to my goals for 2011, along with 365 Days of Love is “to do justice” that is “365 Days of Justice along with doing one act of love a day, I will be doing seeking to do at least one act of justice for someone. We read in Gen 6  “Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. ” That is to say Noah did acts of justice, Noah brought justice into the lives of others as a way of life. And so that is how I am choosing to live.

So by setting the goal to do acts of justice daily, to do at least one act of justice a day, I am choosing to live like Noah was know for. These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. Gen 6:9 When it says he was a just man, it means he brought justice to the lives of other. Made wrongs, right.

Today to many are defying the word justice with the wrong definition, (more…)

harvesters snack cupsSpent half a day preparing food for the hunger, was at Harvesters for half the day sorting snack cups, about 500 lbs of them. Like pudding, Jello and apple sauce into 18 lbs box’s to be giving to the needy. After finishing that I labels unlabeled #10 cans (that’s restaurant sized ones) of green beans. Then boxed them up to be giving to the needy, about 300 of them. There is always a way to give to, help those in need, even if you do not have money to give, you can give time to feed, help those in need. I gave my time to love others, to help those in need.

On my way to the Freedom Fire Staff prayer meeting I met James, a homeless man who was a war veteran. I was able to give him a little money to buy some food with as well as share God’s love with him. Wanted to do more but he was at the top of freeway ramp and the light turned green and lots of traffic behind me so I had to leave after a short conversation with him. If when we are shot of time as well as money, even a few minuets and a couple of dollars can effect a person life who is in need.

Spent the afternoon with the Freedom Fire staff for prayer, prayed for the staff as well as the inner city poor and the children whom the ministry is working with. Heard lots of praise reports about what God did the last week in the ministry. Many came to Jesus, many lives changed. The new church plant has out grown its space, a much bigger place is needed to accommodate the growing number. Praise God for that.

I was able to love on the staff though encouragement and prayer for them. I was able to love on the people in the inner city by giving time to prayer for them, to love on them via prayer, lifting them up to God, going before God on their behalf, what a privilege.

What a great being to this week, doing acts of love for others, by giving time, money and prayer. Lord I pray the rest of the week is even more filled with acts of love for others.

selling organs There is a world wide epidemic going on, an atrocity, an appalling act that reveals both the said status of the worlds economy, but also sets new lows in depravity for our day. Desperately poor people are sell kidneys for cash, from the Philippines, to India, Pakistan, Egypt to Iraqi and even in the US.

There are hundreds of stories a day now like:

"I’m a father of four and my wife is very sick. I do not have work and need money desperately to support them and for this reason I decided to sell my kidney."

Karim borrowed money to expand his bakery. When the money ran out, and
facing the prospect of imprisonment if unable to repay his debts, the 36-year-
old Egyptian baker sold his kidney.

Poverty meets Human Trafficking

Not only is poverty forcing people to such desperate acts to survive, but there are street children being snatched up and forcible having a kidney removed by black market doctors. Even parents selling a kidney of their children for money. The worse cases is they are selling their daughters kidney, then they sell her, her whole body to a trafficker to be used for the sex trade.

This is the said truth, condition of the world today, extreme poverty growing world wide forcing people to do horrible things to survive. Poverty is a severe plague on the world, people doing insanely horrible things to survive. And horrible people doing unimaginable things to others to make money off the poor.

Watch the Fox News videoIraqis selling body parts to make ends meet.”

Feed the Hungry, Go to Cambodia.

Or Go to any of the other 50 nations that the worlds poorest people live in.

These are the face of hunger, look at these faces , there are 153 million children who go to bed hungry, 16,000 children will die from hunger today, how can you say you do not have the time to save them.

Look at how this child finds dinner, if at all. Imaging your child having to do this. Well too many parents watch their children do this to eat.

There are 162 million people who live in ‘ultra poverty’ on less than 50 cents a day, One billion people live on less than $1 a day. Every day, one child every five second dies from hunger-related causes..

Jesus said this is Him, this is His face you are looking at, hungry, naked, thirsty.

Until you have seen this, looked into their hungry eyes, seen them live in cardboard box, you can not understand this. Until you hold a starving child in you arms you do not know how real this tragedy is.

Go spend 3 or 4 weeks here , or the rest of you life here, Go save the lives of children, Go do what Jesus told His church, followers to do in Matt 25. This experience will change you, the way you understand the gospel, change how you see the world. Change what you think is important in life, how you live, spend money, even eat and dress. It is by seeing and touching this reality, seeing the magnitude of it that makes it real to you, this is what will change what you do with your money, how much you give. You can not understand this suffering tell you touch it, see into the eyes of a hungry child, this is why all Christians must go, and do.

There are more than 300 verse in the bible in which God talks about the poor, that they are nearest to His heart and it’s the responsibility of His people to take care of them. Do you really believe the gospel is that Jesus died so you can be rich, comfortable and fat, while children starve to death? Jesus is calling out to His people to come to Him. Who will answer His call, will You? Go! You will never be the same again.

Part 4

God had a talk with me about re evaluating my position in life, as to wealth and income. Reminding me that that being poor or wealth is relative, all a matter of perspective, ours vs God’s. Did you know that if you work at McDonald’s here in the US that your income is higher that 85% of the population of the world. That is right, the average income for of the world is $2,182, total average person income per person for the world is $5,000. so if you work at McDonald’s ($16,640 min yearly income) you are rich by world income standards. And that 2.7 billion people live on less than $2 a day and that More than 923 million people go to bed hungry; 300 million of them children.

We are so much richer than we think ourselves to be, we think a job is beneath us, pay to low, but yet we are so rich, so blessed compared to most of the world.

Do you have a job, making more than $2,182 a year, you are richer than 85% of the world, make more than $5,000 you are richer than the average person in the world. Praise God for it, be thankful.

Do you have a home to live in, a roof over your head, 1 billion do not have suitable housing (live in cardboard box’s, shacks, tents, est.) and estimated 100 million are totally homeless, sleep in the streets. Praise God that you have a home, a roof over your head, be thankful it doe’s not have to be $500,000 house to be blessed, even a $5,000 is a blessing.

Did you go to bed full, did you eat 3 meals even one today, even if it was off the Windy’s dollar menu. Praise God you ate, be thankful for your daily bread.

Do you own a car, only 1 out of 9 people in the world have a car. So if you have a car, any kind of car, in any kind of shape its in, how old, how much it worth, Praise God 89% of people do not have one, you are in the 11% or the people of the world who have a car. Praise God for it, be thankful for it, and it doe’s not have to be a Lexus to be blessed, having any car puts you in the top 10% in the world, that is a huge blessing.

Do you see how rich you are compared to the world, from where God set looking at the whole pitcher, form His view off life. Remember that the next time you are praying, complaining to God you are not blessed, rich enough, and just maybe you need to change it to praise and thankfulness for what you have.
