The Year of Justice (365 Days of Justice)

The Year of Justice (365 Days of Justice)

010111

Adding to my goals for 2011, along with 365 Days of Love is “to do justice” that is “365 Days of Justice along with doing one act of love a day, I will be doing seeking to do at least one act of justice for someone. We read in Gen 6  “Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. ” That is to say Noah did acts of justice, Noah brought justice into the lives of others as a way of life. And so that is how I am choosing to live.

So by setting the goal to do acts of justice daily, to do at least one act of justice a day, I am choosing to live like Noah was know for. These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. Gen 6:9 When it says he was a just man, it means he brought justice to the lives of other. Made wrongs, right.

Today to many are defying the word justice with the wrong definition, by how the legal systems does. That justice means to punish someone for something, how America defines justice is really nothing more than revenge. But in these and many other verses God defines justice as to make right something wrong, not take revenge or punish for. If someone is poor and being taken advantage of, to do justice is to change their situation, help them in their need and stop others from taking advantage of them. IF they where stole from, replace it, being starved by an oppressor, feed them, give them shelter, work, make it right for them.  If a widow is being thrown out into the street, and I intervene and stop her from being evicted, according to God I have brought justice to her situation, righted a wrong. Example the story of the Good Samaritan, the good Samaritan brought justice to the man in the road by righting the wrong done to him, he tended to his wounds, took him to a place to heal and paid for it all. He did not hunt down and kill or imprisoned the robber, seek revenge, he was, and Jesus was only concerned with justice, the wrong being righted. That is what I seek to do , bring justice, be a just man.

I will look for opportunities to do random acts of justice where ever I see need, but I will not just wait for the opportunity to cross my path but will go looking for the opportunity, seek out them out. Live deliberate to right wrongs, bring justice, to do so is to bring God into their situation, bring Gods love and mercy in a real way into their lives.

I will everyday seek to live with the attitude of “What injustice can I do something about today?” what wrong can I make right, bring Gods mercy to.

I will stand up for justice both around me and globally, by fighting against Human Trafficking on my site Not For Sale.

I desire not just to be someone who not only prays, and talk about all the injustice, but be one who also does the works of the kingdom in acts of love, justice and mercy for the Orphan/fatherless, the Widow (single moms), the Poor the oppressed, downtrodden and yes the foreigner. Deuteronomy 24:17

God tells us what He requires of us, His people in Micah 6:8 and Isaiah 1:17, so I am seeking to live that way in 2011

He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Rebuke the oppressor;
Defend the fatherless,
Plead for the widow
.
Is 1:17
